"The Faun"
From my most recent exhibition with Margaret Lloyd " Now You See Me" at Carclew. The exhibition continues until September 30 and there are still some great works for sale! I was quite happy with the hang in the end, after many difficulties, and I also discovered a great love for 3m hooks!

It was a great show to be a part of and special thanks to Serena Wong and Margaret, just for being awesome and ofcourse Carclew, a terrific organisation that supports young artists.

Redscale

These came out way more red than I had anticipated, need to muck around with aperture and exposure times. Anyway I still like them, first time using redscale film from lomography :)

Now You See Me

Opening Night

Thursday 5th September 6pm - All Welcome!

"Now You See Me" is an exploration into the ambiguities found in the relationships between animals and humans. It represents in between spaces, whose fluidity allows us to permeate the definite lines of categorisation that supposedly separate us from animals. When giving human traits to animals we are anthropomorphising, yet we lack a similar language to investigate the way in which we use animals to disassociate ourselves with qualities we do not value or perceive in human nature. Now You See Me is a narrative between the fantasy and the real, the animal and the human.

Margaret Lloyd | Margaret graduated with Honours in Visual Art from UniSA, and has exhibited in numerous Adelaide galleries. She currently works at Fontanelle Gallery and Studios, and is preparing for an upcoming residency in Hrisey, Iceland.

Jennifer Allnutt | Jennifer is a recent graduate from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (first class honours). Her work deals with symbolism, transformation, the unconscious and the self. She has exhibited around Adelaide including SASA Gallery, Red Opus, Espionage gallery and Fontanelle Gallery. She currently has a studio in Bowden at Fontanelle.

I'm so excited about this exhibition!!! For the first time ever I think my work somewhat fits the space! Also really excited to be exhibiting alongside Margaret's beautiful work. Pop in on opening or another time when you are in that neck of the woods.
